Gardening in Ridgeway
From big to small, gardens all need attention at one time or another.
Ridgeway has a gardening club which meets once a month and organises garden visits etc. For more information please see the Gardening Club entry in 'Clubs and Societies'
There is also a 'Village in Bloom' section of the website, which gives information on the activities of the Village-in-Bloom committee. The Village in Bloom committee has introduced many initiatives to improve the visual amenity and community spirit of the village. As a direct result of long and hard work by them, Ridgeway won top awards in the 'East Midlands in Bloom' competition in 2003, 2004 and now first prize again in 2005 - a remarkable hat-trick of awards. Garden Supplies
There are several excellent garden centres and nurseries in the local area, but unfortunately there are none in Ridgeway itself.
